About the comedian:

Jason Schommer, recently named “What’s Hot For 2013” by Campus Activities Magazine, is a standup comedian who has spent the past year and a half as the opening act for comedy legend Louie Anderson in Las Vegas.  Louie Anderson says “Jason is funny, clever, smart, and on his way to the big time!”.

Jason’s energetic style and relatable material has made him one of the region’s favorite entertainers.  Laugh-until-you-cry stories combine with playful one liners as Jason covers a wide array of topics ranging from the daily struggles of life and his loveable, yet kooky, Minnesotan family.  A special treat is his hilarious insight into pop culture and the celebrity crazed world in which we live with outrageous encounters with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Jessica Simpson.  Kathy Griffin even gave Jason a shout out during her show!

Jason ventured into the world of stand up comedy while working on The Rosie O’Donnell Show in New York City.  The show’s writers thought he was funny, so they signed him up to perform at the New York Comedy Club.  Jason easily won over the crowd with his quick wit and high energy performance.  Like many comics, he was hooked immediately and from there he has taken off to rave reviews and a rapidly growing fan base.

From his auspicious start in New York City to the present, Jason is always a crowd favorite and has quickly become one of the most distinctive and hysterical stand up comics working today.
